Dr. Bhalla is a spine-fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treatment of the neck, back, and spinal column. After pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he returned to Los Angeles to attend medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Subsequently he completed residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.Dr. Bhalla spent an additional year of fellowship training and research in the subspecialty of Spine Surgery at the Harvard Combined Spine Fellowship at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. In Boston, he developed his interests in degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, adult deformity surgery, motion-preserving techniques, and minimally invasive approaches.In collaboration with physicians at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center and the Cancer Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, it was his privilege to help care for patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the spinal column.
